Secure Every Step of the Way
Sometimes it happens - an emergency at home or an illness causes people to cancel their vacation or interrupt their trip. Because these unfortunate events can occur, a comprehensive travel protection plan that includes‡ our Cancel For Any Reason Waiver plus important travel insurance coverages is available with all Air Jamaica Vacations® travel arrangements.

SECTION I
Cancel For Any Reason - No Questions Asked!
Provided by Air Jamaica Vacations®
If you are unable to make your vacation FOR ANY REASON (up to two hours prior to departure), you will receive a full refund of your vacation package (less the cost of the travel protection plan). This allows you to receive a refund on all land components of the trip plus airfare. Unlike most travel insurance plans, we will reimburse the cost of your airline ticket, regardless of type (bulk refundable or non-refundable scheduled airfare) should you have to cancel your trip for any reason more than two hours prior to departure.

Travel Insurance Coverages

Trip Interruption
If you are prevented from completing your trip because you, a traveling companion, or an immediate family member suffers a covered injury, illness or death, you will be reimbursed up to your total trip cost. In addition, the plan will reimburse, up to $100 per day, the reasonable additional accommodation and transportation expenses incurred to remain near a covered traveling immediate family member or traveling companion who is hospitalized during your trip.

Trip Delay
The plan provides benefits for covered expenses, up to $500 ($100 per day), if your trip is delayed for 12 hours or more due to a covered reason such as inclement weather, equipment failure of an air common carrier, a traffic accident in which you or your traveling companion are not directly involved, or lost or stolen passports.

Medical Transportation & Expenses
The plan covers up to $10,000 if an injury or illness during the course of the trip requires emergency medical transportation. The plan also provides reimbursement, up to $5,000, if you incur covered medical expenses due to an injury or, up to $5,000, as a result of illness.

Baggage/Personal Effects & Delay
You will be reimbursed, up to $1,000, for loss, theft, or damage to baggage and personal items. Reimbursement up to $200 ($100 per day) is available for the purchase of additional, necessary personal items if your checked baggage is delayed or misdirected by an air common carrier for more than 24 hours from the time you arrived at your destination.

Accidental Death & Dismemberment
If you sustain an injury on the trip while a passenger of an air common carrier which results in death or a covered injury within 365 days of the date of the accident, you will receive benefits based on the largest applicable amount, up to $20,000.

24-Hour Emergency Assistance
24-hour emergency telephone assistance service is available for your benefit in the event of an emergency, or for pre-trip health, safety and weather information.

Terms of Coverage
1. This plan is valid only upon payment in advance of the total required plan cost in advance of any losses and will not reimburse any losses suffered prior to purchase.
2. The coverages and services provided under Section II take effect at 12:01 A.M. local time at your location on the contracted departure date of Your Land/Sea Arrangements. All coverages shall terminate on the earlier of the following: (a) Your return to your origination point (as specified in the travel tickets); (b) 11:59 P.M. local time at your location on the day the Land/Sea Arrangements are completed.
3. The duration of coverage under Section II shall be extended under the following conditions: (a) when you commence air travel from your origination point (i) within 2 days before the commencement of the Land/Sea Arrangements, coverage shall apply from the time of departure from the origination point; (ii) greater than 2 days before the commencement of the Land/Sea Arrangements, the extension coverage shall be provided only on the day of Your air travel; and (b) if you return to your origination point (i) within 2 days after the completion of the Land/Sea Arrangements, coverage shall apply until the time of return to the origination point; (ii) greater than 2 days after the completion of the Land/Sea Arrangements, the extension coverage shall be provided only on the day of your air travel.

The Penalty Waiver is provided by Air Jamaica Vacations® and is not insurance. Under the terms of the Penalty Waiver, customers may cancel their vacation for any reason. The Penalty Waiver does not apply to "no show" situations where customers do not check-in or to "denied boarding" situations.
